The Te Whanganui-A-Hei Marine Reserve is one of the easiest accessed Marine Reserves in N Z; and of course, its flagship attraction that is Cathedral Cove. A popular destination no matter the time of year, with its golden sandy beach, crystal blue waters and beautiful arch making the perfect backdrop for a new profile picture.
As you make your way down to Cathedral Cove, branch off to Gemstone Bay. This popular bay is a snorkeler’s paradise with its marked trail, making it easy for all swimmers.
If a more leisurely break is what you need wander the town, visit the many cafés and bars, exercise some retail therapy, visit to The Lost Spring Thermal Pools & Spa or take in a movie at the Mercury Bay Twin Cinemas.
